Resumen
La baropodometría electrónica tiene sus orígenes en los años ochenta del siglo pasado, con la aparición de sistemas informáticos que hacían posible el registro y análisis de las fuerzas de apoyo del pie en el suelo. Hasta la actualidad, el desarrollo se ha referido sobre todo al perfeccionamiento de los sistemas de medida y análisis, adaptándolos a las más diversas situaciones de empleo.
Estos avances permitirán en un futuro la aplicación de esta técnica a la medicina deportiva, a la medicina laboral y al diseño de prótesis, aparte de otros campos aún hoy inimaginables.
Abstract
Electronic baropodometry traces its origins to the 80’s of the past century, with the advent of informatic systems rendering possible the recording and analysis of the forces exterted by the foot upon the ground. Up to the present times, its development has been mainly in the field of perfecting the measurement and analysis systems, adapting them to the most diverse application situations.
These advances will, in future times, allow the application of this technique to Sports Medicine, to Occupational Medicine and to the design of prostheses, besides other as yet inimaginable areas.
