Summary

Se describe una técnica para la sección del li­gamento transverso en el túnel carpiano a través de una sola entrada proximal y utilizando el dis­positivo mecánico diseñado por el Dr. Agee. Se discuten las ventajas del procedimiento tanto por la técnica endoscópica como por el dispo­sitivo empleado. Especialmente la más rápida reincorporación del paciente a sus labores pre­vias.

Abstract

A technique is reportad for the division of the transversa ligament in the carpal tunnel through a single proximal approach and using the me­chanical instrument described by Dr. Agee. The advantages of the procedure are discussed, both those derivad from the endoscopic technique and those due to the instrument used, with par­ticular emphasis in the earlier return of the patient to his or her previous occupations.
